does anybody know whats a good tool set for me to buy to keep handy mainly just for me to work on my 89 ram 50.i was thinking about getting this one from sears.

You'll mostly need an assortment of screwdrivers, socket and wrenches in the 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21 and 22 mm variety, and other related non-specialty tools for most repairs.

Ya, you only need metric tools. A good set half that size would likely suffice.
