Hello everyone! I just purchased a 86 dodge ram s 50 from my brother in law for $400.00. It has a rod bearing that is about to sling in the 2.0. I want to lower it and swap the engine. I eventually want to body drop and bag it. But I have to decide what to do engine wise before I do anything. I know I could drop a smal block 350 in it with no worries but I don't know if I will have enough room for the body drop and bags. I have looked for a replacement 2.0 but the only ones I can find are new and around $1000.00. I am open to any suggestions you guys have. Thanks.

4g63 swap, it will bolt up to your transmission as long as its a manual. But theres kind of a bit of fab and wiring to do also so not for the faint of heart

you could do a 318 if you want to go with american muscle that way you atleast stay true to it being a dodge. as same with 4g63 swap there will be some fab work to keep in mind.

What do you mean "some fabrication"? Lol! My main goal is to conserve as much space as I can to allocate for the body drop and bags I hope to eventually do.
