I HAVE A 87 D50 2WD 2.0 5SPD THAT I JUST REBUILT THE MOTOR. TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT SOMEONE NAILED IT, (HIT AND RUN) SO NOW ITS DONE. I HAVE FOUND A 88 D5O 4X4 5 SPD WITH A BLOWN MOTOR. IS IT POSSIBLE TO SWAP THE 2.0 IN PLACE OF THE 2.6 , I KNOW THE BLOCKS ARE DIFFERANT WIDTHS, BUT IS IT POSSIBLE TO MAYBE CHANGE THE BELLHOUSING OR IS THERE AN ADAPTER AVAILABLE ? ANY IDEAS.

not that i know of, is there such a thing as a 2.0 wide block. and if so how do i tell them apart.

yes there is a 2.0 wide block, not very common though. Measure center to center of bottom two bell housing bolts; ~13.25"=wide block, ~12.5"=narrow block
